Maple Ridge Massage Therapists
Mike Wilson, RMT
Maple Ridge Massage Therapist
I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in July of 1999 and became registered with the College of Massage Therapy in March of 2000.
Since then I have also obtained my Level 1 “Twist Sport Conditioning Coach” certification through Twist Conditioning Inc., and am working on obtaining my Level 2 certification now.
I currently hold my Personal Trainer Certification through the NSCA (NSCA-CPT). As well, I currently hold my Level “C” CPR w/AED certification as well and have done so for the past 13 years.
Massage therapy can help with many conditions and ailments that arise from work, sports, pregnancy and stress, just to name a few. Whiplash injuries due to motor vehicle accidents, low back pain and postural problems are very common with static postures at work, ie: desk jockeys.
I also like to deal with athletic type injuries as these can sometimes be a challenge, first to analyze and then to treat. Athletes themselves can be a challenge to try and restrain from overdoing the rehabilitative part to get back as soon as possible, but they are fun to work with and I enjoy this challenge.
Massage Therapy works well by itself as a form of treatment but can and usually is more effective when added to other forms of treatment such as chiropractic, naturopathy or physiotherapy. I like to take the time to educate my patients on the problem/injury that they have and how to apply an appropriate rehabilitative home care exercise program for them.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to apply my trade to a few individuals that I regard as my own “Hero’s”. I am a huge race fan of the American LeMans Series (sportscars) and ChampCar (open wheel) and in April of 2000 I got a call from Indianapolis to work with some drivers from CART (now ChampCar). Names like Paul Tracy, Dario Franchitti, Tony Kanaan, Mauricio Gugelmin and Scott Dixon became regular patients of mine. I spent some time traveling to various races to look after them. I spent eight years helping Paul Tracy at various events. This alone was probably the highlight of my career to date. I have also been looking after female sportscar racer Melanie Paterson.
Over the past two summers I have volunteered my services to the Twist Conditioning Summer Hockey camps and will do so this summer as well. At these camps I get to help out athletes from the NHL, Semi-Pro, College, Junior, Midget, and Bantam levels.
I have also had many athletes that I take care of here at Active Life Chiropractic Wellness Clinic including one of the BCJHL Trail Smoke Eaters forwards, former Toyota Atlantics driver Adrien Herberts and current Parts Canada Superbike and former AMA Superbike Champion motorcycle racer Steve Crevier.
I look forward to seeing you in the office!
Dana Henry, RMT
Maple Ridge Massage Therapist

Dana is a graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminister. She was born and raised here in Maple Ridge with both of her siblings. She really enjoys working close to home and with a community that is dear to her heart.
Dana’s first introduction to massage therapy was through a good friend who was completing the program. The friend told her about all the conditions she could treat and provide relief for which surprised Dana. As she began the program, Dana knew that she had made the right choice for her career. Dana loved attending the out-reaches where she was placed at multiple locations such as Vancouver General Hospital in the Burn Unit, J.F. Strong, and at a variety of local sporting events.
Dana is interested in working with all types of conditions and injuries in which massage therapy can provide relief and facilitate healing. Dana has also received additional training in Organ-Specific Fascial Mobilization of the abdomen, which is very useful in the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction.
Dana tries to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy and staying fit. She gets outside as much as she can whether it’s hiking, camping or just taking her dogs down to the local dykes for a run. In the winter months she also enjoys snowboarding and snowshoeing.
Dana is excited to be part of the Active Life Chiropractic team and looks forward to working with you!
